Last Call for Red Sox Game Singers!

Calling all musicians interesting in singing (Alum welcome)! Rehearsals start tomorrow over Zoom.

The COF Chorus is recruiting Colleges of the Fenway students, alum, faculty, and staff interested in singing the Star-Spangled Banner at Fenway Park on Wednesday, September 22 for the Red Sox vs New York Mets game.

Please email the Choral Director, Kathleen Berger, as soon as possible at [email protected] if you are able to commit to rehearsals and the performance.

Required rehearsals and performance (additional rehearsals added as needed):

Tuesday, August 24 (Zoom) 7-8 pm
Tuesday, August 31 (Zoom) 7-8 pm
Tuesday, September 7 (Zoom) 7-8 pm
Tuesday, September 14 (In person - Location TBA) 7-8 pm
Tuesday, September 21 (In person - Location TBA) 7-8 pm
Wednesday, September 22 - 7:10 pm game (vs New York Mets) - Fenway Park

To keep our chorus members (and their families) safe, it is essential that all participants follow their school guidelines and be fully vaccinated. It is also essential to show proof of a negative Covid test (Rapid or PCR) at least 72 hours before each in-person rehearsal and performance.

Performance Opportunity:
The Boston Public Library will be hosting their annual Concerts in the Courtyard series again this summer, with solo or duo performers only.

The series will run from June 4th – August 27th on Fridays from 12:30-1:30pm. June will be devoted to musicians of color and q***r musicians. Applications will be accepted until May 28th but will be reviewed on a rolling basis, particularly for June, so getting applications in earlier is best!

Opportunity to sing with the Simmons Sirens! See below:
We are a women's centered a ca****la group based out of Simmons, but open to all COF students. We are holding virtual auditions this semester, and I was wondering if you would be willing and able to spread the word!
All students have to do to audition is fill out this google https://docs.google.com/.../1FAIpQLSdTHBXPtKQ.../viewform...
and email us a quick video of them singing some scales, pitch matching, and performing a verse and chorus of a song of their choice (more detailed information & steps are explained in the google form and YouTube video linked in the form).
We are asking that audition forms and videos be submitted by Monday, February 15th.

Do I have to come every week? Nope, but it is nice? You get to hang out with us! And everyone needs a break right?
What if I have a class but I really want to do it? Register anyway. I will send you the music and recording info for any recording projects you may still want to do.
Fun? Gosh, I hope so! It is for me anyway.
Serious? As serious as you want to make it.
Audition? Nope. Just sign up and enjoy music and community with us!
