Congratulations, Class of 2026! 🎓🎉
On Friday, May 15, 2026, 479 B.A. and 105 M.S. degree candidates graduated from Boston University’s Department of Computer Science.
Representing a wide range of interdisciplinary undergraduate pathways and advanced graduate programs spanning areas including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data-centric computing, economics, linguistics, mathematics, physics, and statistics, our graduates leave prepared with the knowledge and skills to take on complex challenges in our rapidly changing world.
During the convocation ceremony, the department recognized Mutiraj Laksanawisit as the recipient of the 2026 College Prize in Computer Science; Selene Wu as the recipients of the 2026 Department Prize for Distinguished Undergraduate Achievement, Steve Choi and Alika Grigorova as the recipients of the 2026 Department Prizes for Outstanding Undergraduate Achievement, and Dr. Gonca Gürsun ‘13, as the 2026 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award in Computer Science. A huge congratulations to all our 2026 award recipients!
Addressing the graduating class, Dr. Gürsun shared: “you are graduating at a genuinely remarkable moment from a fantastic university in a field that matters more than ever.”
