The ND Club of Greater Boston sponsored the first in a series of events last night with a focus on Professional Networking called “Career Connections Kickoff Happy Hour”.

Despite the rain, over 40 alums gathered to enjoy drinks, appetizers, and exciting conversation. It was great to see so many of our members attend this first session.

If you have any suggestions for the next event, or would like to get more involved, please email the ND Boston Networking Co-Chairs Matthew Goulet or Brendan J. Gardiner at [email protected].

The ND Club of Greater Boston had a tremendous volunteer turnout for the Global Day of Service on Saturday April 25th, and a significant impact on the communities these organizations serve.

Four service projects were held as part of the 2026 Service Initiative

1. Catholic Charities Yawkey Food Pantry in Dorchester where our dedicated crew from ND Boston Club alums packed family food packages for families. Overall, the volunteers packed over 800 packages which will help defray weekly food shortages to a family of four.

2. Cradles to Crayons in Newtonville, MA whose mission is to provide children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive-at home, or at school and at play. ND volunteers helped sort clothes packages for toddlers and infants to assist those who are in need of clothing.

3. Pine Street Inn (Boston's largest homeless shelter) - Served over 220 meals to men and over 109 meals to women with our dedicated ND Boston Club volunteers.

4. Paulist Center Boston - As part of the "Wednesday Night Supper Club", ND alums served dinner restaurant style to over 150 men and women

Thanks so much for all the volunteers who "gave back" during this special time of helping others. A special shout-out goes to Barb Boylan '77 who coordinated all fours events with the organizations and volunteers.

The ND Club of Greater Boston would like to share the University’s official position on Pope Leo’s hope for peace and an end to conflicts around the world.

ND Press Release April 13, 2026 - Statement from University President Rev. Robert A. Dowd, CSC, in Support of Pope Leo XIV

“Pope Leo XIV continues to proclaim the Gospel of Christ by upholding human dignity and serving as a tireless advocate for peace. His message transcends partisan political divisions in this or any country and I’m deeply grateful for Pope Leo’s inspiring example. I ask members of the Notre Dame community to pray for peace and work together with all people of goodwill to build a more just and humane world.”
