UMass Boston Buddhist Meditation starts up again Tuesday of next week, June 25, still from 12:30 to 1pm in the Interfaith Lounge.

UMass Boston Zen starts tomorrow, Sept. 4. We will meet on Tuesdays at 12:30pm in the Interfaith Chapel off Ryan Lounge.

Due to unforeseen developments, the usual Tuesday zen sitting periods at UMass Boston will not be happening for a while. I will post a notification when they start up again.

While many faculty and students will soon be scattering to the four winds, UMass Boston Zen will continue to meet this summer for staff and anyone else who finds themselves on campus! The sits will take place, as usual, on (most) Tuesdays at 12:30pm in the Interfaith Center off Ryan Lounge in the McCormack Building.

Exceptions will be June 12, July 17, and July 24, when neither leader is available. On those days, there will be no meeting.

During the Spring 2018 semester, UMass Boston Zen will meet on Tuesdays at 12:30pm in the Interfaith Chapel (off Ryan Lounge on the 3rd floor of the McCormack Building, at the University of Massachusetts Boston). Come promptly at 12:30 for an orientation if you are a newcomer. You may arrive a few minutes later otherwise. We join in a reading, a 25 minute silent sitting period, and a brief (optional) discussion, finishing no later than 1:20pm.

Usually, tomorrow (Dec. 12, 2017) would be our last meeting of the Fall semester, and we would not meet again until Spring term. But this year, a group will continue to meet on Tuesdays Dec. 19, Jan. 9, and Jan. 16.

Anyone--staff, students, faculty or members of the larger community--who happen to be on campus are welcome to attend!

Meetings are held at 12:30 in the Interfaith Center off Ryan Lounge in the McCormack Building.

Due to confluence of meetings and health issues, there will be no Zen sit tomorrow (Tues, Nov. 21). We'll resume on Nov. 28.

There will, as usual, be a UMass Boston Zen group meditation time tomorrow, Tuesday October 24th, at 12:30 in the Interfaith Center. However, for this week only, it will not include meditation instruction. Instruction for newcomers will resume the following week.
