As the pandemic continues, some of you may be incurring additional expenses related to changes or disruptions in on-campus operations. If you need financial help with off-campus housing expenses, books or technology for classes, transportation, childcare, food, or other costs as a result of COVID-19, please consider applying for CARES Act funding allotted to Emerson students.
Grants of between $100 and $6,000 are available to eligible students, and once awarded, will be deposited directly into the student’s bank account. To be considered, you must:
Be eligible to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application;
Have experienced costs associated with COVID-19 disruption;
Have Direct Deposit set up for your bank account through eCommon, and;
Apply via the very short Emerson College CARES Act Application.
New students entering Emerson this fall are now eligible to apply, as are continuing students who may have already received funding below the maximum threshold of $6,000. Please note that any funds received in this academic year must be considered in the financial aid eligibility calculations, per federal regulations.
Once you submit your application, a representative from the Office of Financial Aid and/or the Office of Student Success may need to contact you for additional information. Funding levels are not guaranteed, and are awarded based on demonstrated need and availability.
Please contact the Office of Financial Aid ([email protected]; 617-824-8655) or the Office of Student Success ([email protected]; 617-824-8650) with questions.
