Living systems are dynamic and complex, and one cannot predict how they behave by simply studying the individual parts. We use quantitative measurement and mathematical and computational modeling to answer important and exciting questions in biology and medicine. Our students come from almost every area of science: Bioinformatics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Genomics, Math, Microbiology,

Physics, Engineering and more. We offer them an individualized program of study, flexible rotation structure and personal attention to help them define and reach their research goals. Students become part of a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative community and have access to an extraordinary range of experimental and intellectual resources.
