What does it mean to grow as a designer?
For Danilo, it meant more than learning new tools. It meant refining the way he thinks, and learning to think more strategically about branding systems, visual identities, and the people on the other side of a design problem.
As a student in MassArt’s Communication Design Certificate, Danilo saw his growth take place through hands-on projects and critique from expert faculty and fellow creatives.
Danilo shared, “In my most recent project, I had one of those moments where I was like, oh, wow, now I’m really starting to think more strategically and make more intentional design decisions.”
Danilo completed the program while working full time, taking advantage of the flexibility of MassArt’s fully online, part-time format - “I really loved the remote format. It still felt hands-on but I appreciated the flexibility, if I had to travel or do something, I could grab my computer and go.”
And the connections he made along the way have lasted beyond the classroom:
“Being in a space with people that can really challenge you and help you build better projects, I think was the most invaluable part of the experience”
