Happy Founders' Day!

November 2nd & 3rd is LCA Educational Foundation’s Founders Day/Day of Giving. Thanks to your support last year we were able to raise approx. $5k. In addition, we won 2nd place in participation category ( # of donors), which earned the chapter 2 registrations to General Assembly (worth $1700!). Message from Ben Lewis, High Pi (Alumni Advisor) to the chapter:

Dear Brothers,
We are celebrating 112 years of Brotherhood! On Tuesday November 2nd, Lambda Chi Alpha will host the Founders’ Day Challenge, a Day of Giving to support the Lambda Chi Alpha Educational Foundation(a 501c3). For THIS group, that specifically means supporting the Tyler Day Jr./Boston University Endowed Educational Fund. The fund was on the brink of collapse back in 2017, but it's now thriving and over $32k! Our next goal is to continue towards $40k (and higher) to create a sustainable stream of distributions for undergrads to attend annual educational conferences and academic scholarships.

Cool Fact: 100% of our undergraduate brothers (30 members) have joined the Mason Circle this month by contributing $19.09 to the Tyler Day Jr. Fund!

Join our BU undergrads and me in donating to support Alpha Zeta's future in this friendly competition. PS: Our Alumni Association is sponsoring an informal Founders' Day get together outside at the current chapter house (Allston, MA) with undergrads on the evening of November 2nd - weather permitting - to celebrate our 112th year, the chapter's 100% participation in joining the Mason Circle, and the generosity of our alumni. For anyone in the area and interested in meeting up, the chapter selected Raising Cane's for food 🙂.

Congratulations to brothers Wayne Yoon (Alpha 1366) and Ronnie Feng (Alpha 1422) for receiving the College Prize of Excellence Award, presented by Dean Ann Cudd. 29 recipients were selected out of more than 1500 graduating seniors this year, by faculty recommendations and a combination of scholarship, service and outstanding contributions to the College of Arts and Sciences. Again, congratulations on such wonderful recognition and best of luck to all graduating seniors moving forward!

Today, the brothers and alumni gathered in Nickerson field to cheer for Maddie Curley (Boston University Women's Lacrosse #5), the daughter of Joseph Curley (CAS 89’). Joe was an outstanding brother in the Alpha Zeta chapter; a Navy ROTC cadet and a Scarlet Key recipient, Joe demonstrated strong leadership during his time in Alpha Zeta and built a long-lasting legacy for all the brothers to follow. We’ll always be here for the Curley family as the duty to support our brothers is one of the fraternity’s core values. Great to see you killing it on the field Maddie!
