The 2021 BLK Conference at UMass Boston is taking place TODAY on Zoom starting at 10am!

From the organizers: “The theme of this year's conference is Re-Humanizing Blackness: The Unhealthy Stigma of Extreme Black Perseverance. Oftentimes, society enforces a hyper resiliency on Black people that makes it feel impossible to take a break and heal from traumatic experiences. The conference will examine this idea through a mental health and self-care lens. Join us as we discuss the damage of diminishing the healing process of Black people in America.”

The conference is free and open to the general public.
