The Boston University Organization of Pakistani Students is a student group seeking to celebrate and share our interest in the cultural, political, and social fabric of Pakistan and its South and Central Asian neighbors. The club was founded in the fall of 2002 with the hopes of rekindling the spirit of celebrating all that is Pakistan begun by the Pakistani students associations of the past. Stud

ents of Pakistani heritage have been an active part of the Boston University community for decades, and it is the goal of the OPS to continue their strive to establish a clear portrayal of Pakistan and its culture, and to be part of the multi-ethnic fabric of BU and the city of Boston.

Position Descriptions
PR Chair (2): Responsible for creating social media posts to promote events and maintaining communication with general members through WhatsApp. Two PR chairs will be selected, but please apply individually. We will not accept any applications in pairs!

External Affairs Coordinator (1): Works with other student organizations at BU and neighboring schools to develop collaborative events. Examples include reaching out to Pakistani student organizations for collaboration and South Asian dance teams for performances.

Volunteer Outreach (1): Leads fundraising efforts and reaches out to charitable organizations. Examples include developing fundraiser bingo boards and finding organizations to donate event proceeds to.

Sophomore Representative (1): Communicates with underclassmen and new students to promote events. Provides feedback to the rest of the e-board based on underclassmen members’ input.
