at home. The Office of Global Services (formerly the International Student and Scholar Institute (ISSI), established in 1976, has evolved into a vibrant community that helps attract international students to Northeastern. OGS embodies the University's commitment to meaningful cross-cultural understanding for all members of the University community - from Beijing to Boston. Drawing on the richness of one of the most culturally diverse educational institutions in the United States, OGs offers programs and services that foster intercultural awareness and enhance all facets of the Northeastern experience. These programs and activities are a joint effort among OGS staff, Students from around the world, their peers from the United States, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the Boston community. OGS' goals are twofold: to serve as a catalyst for intercultural awareness throughout the University, and to provide support for international students and scholars in all areas of their experience - from immigration advising to the culture of the U.S.
