Boston Conservatory at Berklee Choral Ensembles Boston Conservatory at Berklee Chorale, Choir, and Conductors’ Choir
Conductors, Dr. Nathan Reiff Choral singing is a communal art.

Boston Conservatory at Berklee Choral Ensembles are advanced collegiate ensembles dedicated to engaging performances of the canon of classical choral music, as well as encouraging of the composition of new works and young composers. Through rehearsal, performance, and joint artistic experience we achieve what cannot be achieved alone. The commitment of each member vocally, personally, and academic

ally in each rehearsal and performance determines the success of the ensemble and the benefit to the individual. Therefore, each member is encouraged and expected to contribute that which makes them an individual with valuable musical experience and knowledge. We are enriched as an ensemble because of our diversity. Come check out our many concerts and offerings this season, and check back here for updates and news.

Boston Conservatory at Berklee is honored to welcome the foremost interpreter of Maurice Duruflé’s music, Dennis Keene, to conduct Duruflé’s beloved Requiem, with guest organist Mark Kruczek.

Dennis Keene is artistic director and conductor of the Voices of Ascension. Known internationally through his many concerts and recordings, as well as his regular guest appearances as conductor and teacher, he is one of leading choral conductors in the world today. Keene, whom Marie-Madeleine Duruflé calls the “perfect interpreter of my husband’s music,” has established his Duruflé credentials in his native land as well, in the years following his 1989 Duruflé Festival in New York City.

Organist Mark Kruczek serves as the organist and accompanist for Voices of Ascension, where he has collaborated with Dennis Keene since 1981. He has played master classes for Birgit Nilsson, Renata Scotto, Peter Pears, and Janet Bookspan.
