22 is the most historic and sacred room in our home. Formerly the library, 22 is now home to our famous EIT (engineer in training) mural and a large geodesic ball that formerly hung from the top of our center stairwell (before the fire inspector forced us to move it, imagining a flaming ball chasing us down the stairs alla Raiders of the Lost Ark).

Lucky for us - our house has excellent meals served 5 nights a week. We all take a turn cooking or cleaning in exchange for delicious dinner options (vegan/vegetarian too) every night. Besides the yummy food, house dinners are a time for us to hang out and check in with eachother. The full stocked kitchen of tEp Xi is a HUGE draw. We have cereal, we have fruit, we have Kitchen Aid mixers, we have anything an aspiring chef or cooking newbie could want.

In 2019, tEp/Xi celebrated our 100th anniversary! Almost 100 alumni from all class years came back to Boston to join in the festivities. It was an amazing opportunity for tEps across generations to meet and bond over our shared experiences. Alumni and undergrads alike shared lots of stories, laughs, and cake.

We're looking for a new Graduate Resident Advisor (GRA) starting in fall 2021! The ideal candidate is a tEp alum OR is extremely aligned with our values. The GRA's job is to support the undergraduate community, and they get to live in our beautiful house for free. Anyone who will be enrolled in *any* Boston-area graduate school for fall 2021 is eligible. If you or anyone you know may be interested, please get in touch!

tEp/Xi is probably the silliest place to live at MIT, but there are a few things we take seriously - and that's what makes us a strong community and fun, if weird, place to live.

To our extended fambly, please consider chipping in to help us ensure that Xi will continue to exist until at least our 222nd anniversary!

Over the next 11 years, we want to raise an endowment large enough such that the interest can pay our annual property taxes.
