This family’s catch from Tonle Sap includes some of the small fish species that go into making the fermented fish paste prahoc, a prime ingredient in Cambodian cooking.

Chris Schneider, acting director of the CECB, has been in contact with Kelly Swing, who is educating BU Tropical Ecology students at the Tiputini Biodiversity Station in Ecuador. This is what Kelly has said:

"Sightings these two weeks at Tiputini have been excellent. Some students actually saw a puma eat a deer, several others have seen ocelots; our herpetology oriented student has seen lots of lizard species as well as salamanders and other things that can be challenging. Everyone is bubbling over with excitement and the projects are advancing well."
