Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences

Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences IAS @ UW Bothell strives to carry out research and education via modes of inquiry that stretch across disciplinary boundaries.

Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences offers a broad range of undergraduate degrees designed for students who want to specialize in one area of study and to draw linkages among diverse ways of knowing and engaging the world. Our majors, options, and minors encourage an integrative educational experience shaped to the goals and aspirations of individual students. This emphasis on the student-driven i

ntegration across diverse fields is the signature strength of an interdisciplinary education. Facebook Commenting Policy

For over 30 years, the Washington D.C. Human Rights Seminar has provided students with an opportunity to deeply examine human rights issues through face-to-face engagement with global leaders.

As a part of this experience, students spend one week in the U.S. Capitol, meeting with legislators, federal agencies, human rights NGOs, foreign embassies, and think tanks to investigate human rights violations and possible policy responses.

Help us continue to provide access to this program and similar experiential opportunities by supporting the Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences Educational Access and Opportunity Scholarship Fund on Giving Day.

Get ready Huskies! Husky Giving Day will be live April 4, 2024!!

What is Husky Giving Day?

Husky Giving Day is a 24-hour period during which alumni and friends come together to support the people, programs, projects and causes they care about most at the University of Washington. Join us to support the people, programs and causes you care about most.

At IAS, we plan to direct our donations towards experiential learning. Over the next week, we’ll be sharing what kinds of opportunities can be funded through the generous support of your donations.
