✨ ¡Hoy comienza Latine Heritage Month! ✨
Sept. 15 – Oct. 15
Today, we kick off a month dedicated to celebrating the cultura, historias, traditions, and communities that make up our Latin America Diaspora. 💛🖤
From the many countries, cultures, and identities that make up our comunidad, this month is an opportunity to come juntos, celebrate where we come from, honor those who came before us, and create space for the stories and experiences that continue to shape our community. Many Latin American countries also celebrate their independence this month:
🇨🇷 Costa Rica – Sept. 15
🇸🇻 El Salvador – Sept. 15
🇬🇹 Guatemala – Sept. 15
🇭🇳 Honduras – Sept. 15
🇳🇮 Nicaragua – Sept. 15
🇲🇽 Mexico – Sept. 16
🇨🇱 Chile – Sept. 18
🇧🇿 Belize – Sept. 21
🇧🇷 Brazil – Sept. 7
🇪🇨 Ecuador – Oct. 9
And what better way to begin than with our Latiné Heritage Month Kick-Off: Flores de Cultura y Comunidad, Thursday September 17 on Farrand Field (bring a rain jacket) 🌸☔️
Join us for celebration, food, flores, cultura, and comunidad as we officially kick off Latiné Heritage Month at CU Boulder.
Whether you identify as Latiné, have roots throughout Latin America, are learning more about our cultures, or simply want to celebrate with us — there’s a place for you here. 🫶🏽
