Looking for something to do to take a study break on reading day? Join the Environmental Center's Climate Justice team TOMORROW for a relaxing walk on reading day and learn about local plants from an indigenous perspective. We will go over 6 plants, their Arapaho language names, and cultural significance. This event is open to everyone, no matter how much you know about Arapaho culture. We will meet in the parking lot of the South Table Mesa Trailhead at 1pm, and the walk will go until about 2pm! This trail is designated as mobility-friendly. Come get a free coffee if you Lug Your Mug! All you have to do is bring your own mug and you get rewarded with a free coffee. There will be no single use cups available.
The Environmental Center's Zero Waste Outreach Team wants to reward you for getting out of the disposable mentality, so get in the habit and BYOM (bring your own mug)! If you forget your mug, bring it next time. Better yet... keep it in your backpack and take it with you always!

Seventh Annual CU BikeFest came and went with
🍦 1,200 scoops of ice cream
👕 490 shirts given out
🚲 82 bikes sold
🦬 1,500 people in attendance

But the real story is what makes the CU Boulder Used Bike Sale possible.

Each year, the Environmental Center clears hundreds of abandoned bikes from campus. Many bikes are refurbished and given a second life through the sale.

That’s what student-powered sustainability in action looks like!

The CU Environmental Center and Bike Program invites you to the seventh annual CU BIKEFEST this Thursday August 27th at Farrand Field! BIKEFEST is a day of community and culture, introducing thousands of students to the many ways to enjoy bikes and sustainable transportation.

Free food! Free shirts! Free bike repairs! Games and music are followed up by our Annual Used Bike Sale!* First used bike sale begins at 3:30 p.m. Final used bike sale will take place at 5 p.m.

*All sales are credit card only.

Double the locations, double the finds! The CU Boulder Surplus Move In Sale continues through Monday, both at the CU Boulder Surplus Store (3300 Walnut St) and at the Innovation Station in the Will Vill’s Village Center! Stop by between 9am-3pm! CU Boulder Surplus has over 100 pallets (!!!!) of reusable items to sell, so we will keep restocking as long as y’all keep buying!

Shop affordable, sustainable furniture, household items, dorm essentials, and more during the annual Move-In Sale. The sale runs August 15-17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It’s a great way to save money while supporting reuse and waste reduction.
