The Center for Women and Gender Equity is partnering with Wood County Hospital for their annual donation drive! Donated items will benefit the Wood County Hospital SANE Department and Community Outreach programs. We are seeking new hygiene products, clothing, and other items - if you wish to donate, you can buy items from the Donation Drive Wishlist and have them delivered to the CWGE, or drop off donations in 280 Hayes Hall.

BG area event alert! The Wood County Museum has invited best-selling author Kate Moore (of the book Radium Girls) to the museum this Saturday for a program and book signing for her latest book The Woman They Could Not Silence, about a woman’s experience with involuntary asylum commitment in the 1800s.

The program will take place outside the Wood County Museum’s own Lunatic Asylum and a special temporary exhibit from the National Library of Medicine, The Yellow Wallpaper, will be on display as well.

Saturday, June 15, 2024 • Program begins at 2:00 PM with a book signing to follow

" I am Kaiya and I am entering my fourth year as a Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies major at Bowling Green State University. My main areas of focus are domestic violence, doulas & midwives, and s*xual health education. My hobbies are listening to music, reading, and learning. I am super excited to start my internship with Solace and I can't wait to learn more about the community around Solace! One of my favorite songs is "Apple Cider" by beabadoobee!"
