It’s that time of year, everyone!📖

The WKU English Club is back for the 2026-2027 school year! Please join us this upcoming Thursday (September 10th!) at Grise Hall 422 for the FIRST MEETING OF THE YEAR!

At the WKU English Club, we are committed to serving majors both in and out of the English Department. Everyone is welcome to join, and everyone is welcome to nominate themselves for an officer role within the club in this upcoming meeting! We have big plans, and we need all the help we can get!

The WKU English Club is proud to announce the return of The Colin Jewell Emerging Writers Prize!

This contest is funded Dr. Joshua Johnson, a WKU English alum, to honor the memory of Colin Jewell, a former student at Western Kentucky University. In addition to Colin’s love for writing, he was an avid reader, and adored collecting books.

The WKU English Club encourages everyone to submit 1-2 pieces of their best work for the chance to win a gift card to Schimmel’s Bookery! Good luck to all!
