Thank you to United States Space Force leadership for visiting Western Kentucky University yesterday. It was such an honor to have General Chance Saltzman, Chief Master Sergeant John Bentivegna and Brigadier General and NASA astronaut, Nick Hague visit and share their vision and thoughts with us, as well as answer questions.

It was a proud moment to also be able to have them meet members of the WKU Army ROTC program Major Attwood, one of their newest commissioned second lieutenants, 2LT Owens, as well as the vice president of our Military Connected Students of WKU organization, and Kentucky National Guard Soldier, SPC Janes. A highlight of the Q&A session was when 2LT Owens, asked the Space Force Leadership if they had advice for a new Butter Bar (new 2LT). To have the opportunity to gain the wisdom of a four star General in charge of the country's newest military service branch, who is also from our hometown, as well as it's highest ranking enlisted personnel Chief Master Sergeant Bentivegna, and former NASA astronaut Brigadier General Hague, was priceless.

Thank you gentlemen for sharing your afternoon with us. For General Saltzman, who briefs Congress on Capital Hill, to come to our Hill at was truly an honor!
