Frist Art Museum trip on Friday! WKU Art & Design students joined professors Anders Johnson and Yvonne Petkus for this PCaD (Painter’s Critique and Discussion) group trip to see three exhibits at the Frist – ‘The Impressionist Revolution: Monet to Matisse’, ‘In Her Place: Nashville Artists in the Twenty-First Century’, and ‘Sistah Griot: The Iconoclastic Art of Barbara Bullock’. We then visited contemporary galleries across Nashville including the Red Arrow Gallery, David Lusk Gallery (pictured here), and Radar Projects (formerly Zeitgeist). WKU PCAL is creating a new school that brings together Art & Design, Music, Theatre & Dance, Interior Design, and Fashion Merchandising. We’re currently gathering feedback on potential school names and would love to hear from our community.

WKU Print Club Holiday Sale
Join us for our first annual Holiday Sale in the FAC Academic Commons (first floor of the Fine Arts Center, near Sculpture, Room 166).

Dates & Times:

Monday December 1: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Tuesday December 2: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Wednesday December 3: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

We will have a wide variety of hand-printed goodies available, including cards, T-shirts, and fine art prints—there’s truly something for everyone! Ninety percent of all profits go directly to the artists (students and faculty), and the remaining ten percent supports the Print Club’s future activities and supplies.

Be sure to stop by—you’ll be glad you did. It’s the perfect opportunity to do some holiday shopping for friends and family, as well as a little treat for yourself!
