Sigma Alpha Iota - Fort Lauderdale Alumnae Chapter

Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity was founded on June 12, 1903, at the Ann Arbor School of Music.

The Mission of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity is to encourage, nurture and support the art of music. The Fort Lauderdale Alumnae Chapter (FTLAC) was originally installed as the Broward Alumnae Chapter on May 18, 1963, at Park Temple Methodist Church. It was officially became its present name in 1968. The FTLAC has been awarded the Lambda A Alumnae Chapter Province Achievement Awar

d in 2017 and 2020, and was selected as a regional finalist for the National Alumnae Chapter Achievement Award in the 2016-2017 year. The chapter continuously strives to support its local community by providing its own Outreach Grant to Broward and Palm Beach County music school programs, and music based organizations.

Calling all non-profits and music educators in Broward, Palm Beach, Martin & St. Lucie counties! Applications are currently open for our music education grant. The recipient will receive a $500 grant that can be used for the advancement of a music program. Visit our Linkinbio for the application and instructions.
