Up in Poulsbo, our art show is up and running! From now until Spring finals week (June 15th), come take a look at our fine selection of handmade artworks! If you wanted to submit something, but haven’t yet had the chance to, submissions are still welcome! Just leave your piece, alongside your name and contact information, at the Poulsbo or Bremerton circulation desk and it will be displayed in our little collection.
Thank you so much to our lovely artists for letting us display your work!

In 1968, Shirley Chisholm was the first black woman to be elected to the United States Congress. She fought for civil rights, women’s rights, and economic justice.
One of her many inspirational quotes includes:
“If they don’t give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair.”
This month, in honor of Black History Month, we gathered together literature by many pioneers. You can find them on display here in the Johnson Library.

Welcome to Winter Term!
Here in the Johnson Library we have a new guest 🕸️They need a name! Stop in to tell Jen and Lisa how you feel about spiders. Then pitch a name.

ArachNOphobe or not, you may enjoy the short essay Swoon, by the late Mary Oliver. It expresses beautifully her love for nature, particularly a spider. You can find it in her book of poems titled Upstream.
