Join us for our next Backyard Composting Workshops, happening on both May 30th and June 5th. Participants will learn how backyard composting works, how it differs from other composting methods, and how to build and maintain a system that fits their daily routines. Through guided instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on activities, you’ll explore the full process—from collecting materials to building, managing, and using finished compost—while developing realistic expectations for composting at home. This workshop series is in partnership with Kitsap County Solid Waste.

Join university trained Master Gardener volunteers on Zoom every Wednesday from May through August 2026.
Use your device to share an image of what you are having issues with or take us on a tour of your garden to get help. Our Zoom clinics are here to help you talk to other gardeners from the comfort of your home or landscape.

Federal support for local farmers providing crops to food banks was abruptly dropped in 2025. A new Kitsap effort aims to fill the gap that was left. See link below ⬇️
