Meet Maddie West, this week’s Work-Study Spotlight! Maddie is a sophomore from Harrisburg, North Carolina, majoring in Elementary Education.
As an office assistant in the Education Department, Maddie loves the strong relationships she’s built with the faculty in the department. She enjoys being creative in her projects and using her imagination in her day-to-day work.
Through her position, she’s gaining valuable skills in leadership, communication, and technology, all while learning directly from faculty who are helping prepare her to become a successful teacher.
Outside of work-study, Maddie stays active across campus as a member of the women’s soccer team, an officer in the Education Club, and is involved in Morgan’s Message and Peer Leading. We’re proud to spotlight Maddie and all the ways she’s making an impact at BC!
