As SAAM comes to a close, we want to remind you that sexual assault awareness extends beyond April. It's a year-round effort of preventing harm, spreading awareness, and supporting survivors as they share their truths.

To learn more about what support should look like, visit our virtual workshop library to view How to Support A Friend: A Guide to Supporting Survivors of Sexual Assault, or the mobile version of the same information. You can find both formats linked in our bio.

We thank you for your engagement throughout the month and wish you a successful close to the semester and academic year.

Sexual violence has been used throughout history to exert power.

It operates within a framework of structural inequality, where marginalized groups are targeted and subjected to violence as a means of maintaining dominance and reinforcing hierarchies.

This form of violence intersects with various systems of oppression, including racism, sexism, classism, ableism, and others.

Today we're shedding light on this issue, online, and at the Health Equity Resource fair happening in University Park from 11am-2pm. Be sure to check out our table and other campus and community resources doing important equity work.
