Jumpstart, an AmeriCorps program, has a mission to work towards the day when every child enters kindergarten prepared to succeed. This high-quality, early education program cultivates adult-child relationships in the under-resourced community of Brockton. Bridgewater State University students commit to serving 300 hours during the academic year, which includes pre-service and ongoing training sessions, individual classroom time, and volunteer projects in the community.
