King University Women's Wrestling

King University Women's Wrestling The OFFICIAL page of the King University women's wrestling team. Jason Moorman was named head coach. She medaled in various tournaments in U.S.

In 2009, King established a Women's Wrestling Program, and joined the WCWA (Women's College Wrestling Association). During it's first year of competition, King finished 10th at the WCWA National Championships, with four All-Americans. In August, 2010 King College hired former WCWA National Champion Jackie Stiles as assistant coach.Stiles is a University of Cumberlands graduate. She was ranked No.

1 in the 51kg class in 2008 and was in the Top-10 rankings in three different weight classes. Before Cumberlands, Jackie was a district and regional champion with state qualifying trips her final two seasons. Opens and collegiately. Stiles was a great asset to the team. During the 2010 season King finished ranked No. 4 with 7 All-Americans; including one National Champion. Marina Lambert, freshman, earned her national title in the 90kg weight class with a 1:46 fall. Emily Martin (48kg) and Alli Ragan(63kg) both finished second. Shannon Constantine (44kg) earned 4th, Hanna Martin (55kg) finished 5th, Kayla Bartosch (55kg) finished 6th, and Haylee Childs (59kg) finished 5th. The 2011-12 season started with King ranked 4th. After the season started and progress King is now ranked 2nd with twelve individual rankings in the top eight.
