The Virginia Horse Industry Board has awarded Emory & Henry University’s Intermont Equestrian Program with a $15,000 grant to support the continued development of young riders through the University's Collegiate-Bound Summer Riding Camp.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Virginia Horse Industry Board for their continued support of our program and the equestrian community as a whole. This investment allows us to continue making a meaningful impact on young riders while supporting the long-term vitality of the horse industry in the Commonwealth,” says Lisa Moosmueller-Terry, director of the Intermont Equestrian Center, clinical associate professor of equine studies and the Emory & Henry University Head IDA Coach.

𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐀𝐋𝐔𝐌𝐍𝐈 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏 💙💛🖤 We welcomed back members of the class of 2004, class of 2011, class of 2012, and class of 2016 for our inaugural alumni camp over the weekend! We had SO much fun reminiscing on college memories, visiting Bristol and Abingdon, and catching up on what everyone is doing with their lives now. Events like this continue to remind us what an incredible network of alumni our program has grown, and how lucky we all are to be a part of it! 🐴

This scholarship is available to riders ages 25 and under who:
✅are members of the American Connemara Pony Society (ACPS)
✅ride a registered Connemara pony (including half-bred or quarter-bred)
