African Students Association-SDSU The African Students Association’s purpose is to bring all African students together in order to promote socio-cultural diversity and student union.

The African Students Association’s Purpose is to bring all African
students together in order to:

• To promote socio-cultural diversity

• To stimulate stronger cultural ties among ASA and other students
organizations

• To establish an African student union

• To stimulate a better understanding and ties within the
American community

• To educate students about Africa’s culture, history, econom

y and
political structures

• To help students have a better college experience

• To act as a liaison between the African Students Association and
other campus organizations. MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to all SDSU students and faculty. Members will be required to attend at least two meetings per term

Kim Hunter Reed, PH. D. is currently Louisiana's Commissioner of High Education. Did you know that Dr. Reed is the only female in the country currently serving as a state higher education leader? Also, some of her achievements include the Exceptional Leader Award (2020) and serving in President Barack Obama’s administration as deputy undersecretary. Overall, Dr. Reed's mission is to increase educational achievement.
