SD State American Indian Student Center Mission: The AISC provides culturally appropriate retention, advising, and programming to increase recruitment and retention of American Indian students.

South Dakota State University’s (SDSU) American Indian Student Center (AISC) encourages visitors to our Facebook fan page to engage with posted content in a manner that is respectful and operates from a place of civic-mindedness. This social media space serves as an extension of the efforts of the AISC and, as such, there is an expectation that students, staff, faculty and visitors exercise their

freedom of expression with responsibility. The SDSU Student Code asserts, “Members of the institutional community reasonably expect that they shall be able to live, study, work and relax in a safe and orderly environment that is conducive to achievement of the educational, scholarly and public service missions of the institution.” In support of this, the administrators of this page will hold this social media space in the same manner that they hold the Center’s space and will not allow personal or ad hominem attacks, defamatory comments, hate speech, bullying, or anything that can be perceived to be offensive, obscene, threatening, racist, sexist or homophobic. Noncompliance with this request will result in the immediate removal of such statements and individuals will be blocked.
