The countdown is on!

Beginning at midnight on September 10th, the Fishback Honors College will be part of SDSU’s annual giving campaign, One Day for State.

Throughout the day, we’ll be featuring honors students from across the university and sharing their personal and academic journeys with the Honors College.

Plus, donor challenges will be available throughout the day to unlock additional support for the Honors Program.

The Fishback Honors College was proud to commit a strong presence at the Justice Challenge Summer Workshop. This three-year institute allowed SDSU students the opportunity to explore complex global issues while strengthening leadership skills, practicing transdisciplinary teamwork, developing systems & critical thinking capabilities, and advancing community-driven solutions. We're excited to keep expanding these high-impact experiences for our students in collaboration with other universities across the country!

The Fishback Honors College team had such a great time connecting with future Jackrabbits and Honors students at New Student Orientation! Thank you to everyone who joined us at an Honors Information Session or stopped by our resource fair table to ask questions, share your interests, and learn what Honors can add to your academic journey.

We are especially grateful for the Office of Student Activities & Orientation and the Office of Admissions for making this month of excitement possible.

We can’t wait to welcome our incoming Honors students to campus this fall!

Honors student and Goldwater Scholar Mason Pulse presented alongside Fishback Honors College Dean Greg Heiberger at this month’s R1 Champions convening. Mason’s achievements exemplify SDSU’s R1 Our Way commitment to expanding research opportunities and strengthening the university’s role in advancing statewide economic and intellectual growth. These priorities closely align with the mission of the Fishback Honors College and reflect the impactful experiences we strive to offer our students.

SDSU Athletics has recently announced this year’s winner of Rabbit Rewards, a campus‑wide program where students earn points for attending Jackrabbit events and showing their school spirit. Congratulations to Jessica Morrow, who also happens to be one of the newest members of our team!

Jessica is serving as our Student Communications Coordinator, and she’s doing a superb job of keeping our student‑facing messaging fresh as we prepare for a busy fall semester full of Honors courses and events.

We’re excited to have her on the Fishback Honors College team!
