You're invited to this free immersive experience on May 2 from 1-3 p.m. on the Sylvan Green!

This isn't your typical event 👇

This multidisciplinary event combines the talents of four SDSU departments and features live dance performances, evolving paintings created on-site, live music and wearable art that moves through the crowd.

But the real focus is the audience. Visitors won’t just watch, they’ll participate. Attendees can expect hands-on opportunities to create their own artwork, contribute to collaborative pieces, and even leave with something they’ve made.

Join us for this free immersive experience on May 2 from 1-3 p.m. on the Sylvan Green! 🌟

Here are a few images of the 2025 Stuart AiR Open Studio Event with Anna Schenker! Thank you Anna for spending time with our community, and thank you to the Joe & Signe Stuart Fund for the support to make this program possible.

Anna Schenker creates rubbings, paintings, and sculptures that record direct interaction with her immediate surroundings. Through physical actions and systems for making, she uses touch as a tool to gain understanding and preserve a moment in time. These close investigations seek to slow down our initial perception of environments and create space for wonder and play. Anna received her BS in Art and Psychology from Skidmore College and an MFA in Visual Art from Washington University in St. Louis. She is based in St. Louis, MO.
