Excellent turn out for PH01’s Passive House ribbon-cutting! Thanks for everyone taking the time to celebrate and support DoArch through out the making of PH01. High school students interested in Architecture spent this past week learning about what we do here at the SDSU Department of Architecture as part of the Fishback Summer Scholars Program. Activities included foam model building, 3d computer modeling & 3d Printing, tours of the Passive House and the Volga Public Works project as well as CNC router, plasma cutter and vacuum former demonstrations.

Lamella 2.0 being assembled as part of our Building Shop series. The arch is made from 96 lamella CNC cut from 6 sheets of 3/4" plywood. Come see it and the other shops at our open house tomorrow, April 18 from 5-7 pm.

Final studio reviews are next week. We will have several guest critics visiting from all over the country, including Jennifer Yoos FAIA, Principal at VJAA. Jennifer will also give the last lecture of the semester at 6:00pm on Thursday April 26th in the Fishbowl. The reviews and lecture are open to the public. Be on the lookout for posters. Afternoon/early evening drawing, writing, and talking about the Guthrie Theatre with Jessica, Cecilia and Federico. Drawing review tomorrow at the University of Minnesota campus.
