Throwing it back to the South Dakota ASABE Section Meeting in April! Let's take a look back and celebrate the outstanding achievements recognized during the event.
The meeting welcomed approximately 50 professionals, undergraduate students, and graduate students, including 2026 ASABE President-Elect Travis Tsunemori. Attendees had the opportunity to view research and internship posters while networking with fellow students and industry professionals.
Congratulations to Michelle Burke, Assistant State Conservationist for Field Operations at USDA-NRCS South Dakota, for receiving the SD ASABE Section Outstanding Professional Award. Thank you to keynote speaker Jim Nelson for sharing insights on "AI Above the Field: Edge Intelligence for Real-Time Decisions."
We also recognize our Outstanding Graduate Student Poster Award winners! Congratulations to Tulsi Ram Pokhrel for earning first place and Rose Eitemiller for earning second place.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event a success!
