The 2026 CNFR was another fun week of great competition and comradery for all contestants and coaches!

We didn’t have any luck in the breakaway this year, but the experience for our region breakaway champion, as a freshman, Laney Hoier was huge for the next 3 years!

Brothers C**t and Trey Frank roped great all year but were flagged out for a crossfire in the third round trying to make up some time in their aggregate time. Trey graduates having qualified for the CNFR 4 times! Twice as a header and twice as a heeler! C**t roped great this year and excited to see what he can do in his junior year starting this fall!

Thank you again to our SDSU Rodeo Boosters for the support in our travel, motels, and practice expenses to help get us qualified for the CNFR!

On to 2026-2027 starting in River Falls, Wisconsin September 11-12th!

Had a great CNFR team supper tonight with a small break in the action to get together!

Thank you to Dan and everyone at Back Alley Meats for the goodie bags filled with delicious beef and sweet snacks this week! They said they would even share some with their coach!

Thank you to 37 Cattle Co -Rich and Sue Waller for sponsoring our CNFR jackets again this year! They each picked out their own style and look great!

Thank you to our SDSU Boosters for the support toward our travel, motel rooms, and sweatshirts this week!

No luck yet for Laney Hoier in the breakaway yet but will have one more chance Friday night. She has already had a fantastic year as a freshman!

C**t and Trey Frank had a very solid run today to start the week and will rope again tomorrow and Thursday night.

Performances will be live starting tomorrow night on ESPN+ with the link and information on a previous post.

The CNFR arm band ceremony tonight was a huge success! We clean up pretty good! Two Bulls, Broncs, and Breakaway performances tomorrow to kick off the competition for the week!
