We are happy to announce that donors were able to surpass our original match amount of $1200 in less than 24 hours! Seeing the huge amount of support, we have decided to increase our match to $2000 (which has also been met). Consequently, we will no longer be accepting Venmo donations and Google form submissions. Although our donation initiative has ended, we hope to keep the conversation going and encourage other organizations to do the same.

In the coming days, we will be sending out matching donation receipts to those who opted for the option.

Thank you, everyone, for the donations, shares, and reacts.

ZBT stands against racism and violence. We are deeply saddened and disturbed by the senseless killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, and countless other Black Americans. At ZBT Xi Chapter, we condemn police brutality and the actions of those who perpetuate racial injustice and encourage our brothers to speak up against acts of racism and hatred. We are far from perfect and aim to educate ourselves so that we can be more effective allies and do better to stand up to racial injustices in the future. We further vow to engage in conversations about racism at ZBT and continue our strict policy against racist language and actions.

As a fraternity, we require all of our members to commit themselves to being of good character and participate in the betterment of society. Given current and past harms experienced by Black Americans, it is our responsibility to actively counter such injustice and to fight hate and intolerance. To that end, we have donated to several causes enumerated below and will match your donations up to $1,200.

OUR MATCH LIMIT HAS BEEN REACHED; WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING DONATIONS/DONATION RECEIPTS.

We appreciate everyone's support and those who have contributed!

One of our biggest supporters, "Kitchen Witch Karen", signed our ball when we weren't watching! Our chef, Karen, has been with us for 26 years and her service to this fraternity is unmatched. She helps with everything from meals during Rush to desserts during Soirée, all on top of the daily meals she provides for us.

Here we see sophomore Tim Chong studying under the ambient light of our dining room (and a supplemental desk lamp). Tim likes to study in Dinings because he focuses well when he's away from his desktop computer where he's prone to many distractions such as video games ;)
