Orthodox Minyan Group - OMG Nafsheinu - the Jewish observant community at BU We dedicate ourselves to the principles of Orthodox, Halachic Judaism.

The Boston University Orthodox Minyan Group is a student run organization under the Hillel umbrella that exists to fulfill and further the religious, social, cultural, and educational needs of the Orthodox Jewish population at Boston University. We eagerly anticipate and encourage participation in our programs from all segments of the University community. OMG is open to all members of the Boston

University Community. This page exists to inform the Orthodox Minyan Community of upcoming events and important updates. All minyan times will be posted on this page. Shacharit Schedule:
Monday - Friday : 8 AM
Saturday: 10 AM
Sunday: 8:30 AM


Mincha & Maariv Schedules will be determined at the start of each school semester.

Shabbat shalom everyone! Because tonight is Shabbat, lighting Hanukkah candles should be done before shabbat starts. We're going to meet just before Shabbat starts at 3:45 at Hillel to light Hanukkah candles together. If you are lighting at home just keep in mind that the long birthday cake type candles that we usually use don't burn long enough into the night to fulfill the Mitzvah so we recommend that you use tea lights instead. 5:00 – pre-fast meal at BU Hillel
5:50 – meet at Hillel and leave for South Campus
6:05 – meet South Campus residents at the corner of Park and Beacon
6:30 – arrive at Young Israel of Brookline, candle lighting time
6:35 – Kol Nidre

Wednesday
8:00 – Shacharit
9:00 – meet at Hillel and walk to Young Israel
Or
10:00 – meet at the corner of Park and Beacon and walk to Young Israel
11:00 – Yizkor
4:40 – Mincha
6:05 - Neilah
7:29 – Yom Tov ends, leave YI as a group
7:30-9:30 – BU Hillel’s bagel break-fast in the GSU
