LIU Post Honors College

LIU Post Honors College Engage. Achieve. Succeed. The LIU Post Honors Program is designed for academically motivated students of all majors. Transfer students are welcome.

Permanently closed.

Students may enter as freshman, sophomores and juniors. In intimate classroom settings of no more than 20 students, you will participate with faculty in thought-provoking discussions that will challenge and transform you. Study and travel abroad are popular options. A diverse group of students join with faculty in selecting the Honors Program electives. Every student in the program works with a fa

culty mentor on research leading to an undergraduate thesis in the major. This will be your best professional credential! The extra-curricular Merit Fellowship provides you with opportunities to visit museums, attend theater performances and concerts, and explore Long Island's preserves and parks. Each year, select students and faculty participate in the LIU Post Honors Conference, which attracts more than 500 students and guests. All students in the Honors Program receive generous scholarships. Both academic and social, the Honors Program is a unique intellectual community that offers exciting opportunities for personal growth.

We are horrified by the brutal chopping down of the magnificent holly trees that have adorned Roth Hall for 50 years. They were full with holiday red berries and we mourn their death.
