NFA Recap 💙🪈🎶
The UTRGV Flute Ensemble gave an unforgettable performance at this year’s NFA Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, with a standing ovation and a warm congratulations from our audience 🧡
Here are some more highlights:
• Dr. Nicaulis Alliey gave two amazing performances of Guiot’s “Fantaisie” and Messiaen’s “La Merle Noir”, both accompanied by pianist Astrid Morales-Torres. She also gave an engaging flute fundamentals workshop on Youth Flute Day 🎶
• Samantha Marquez, a member of the ensemble, performed with the LGBTQIA+ Flute Choir 🏳️🌈
• Ramiro Raya, a member of the ensemble, performed with the PeruFlauta Flute Choir 🇵🇪
• We also squeezed in some time to explore and try local restaurants nearby 🍝
