Representing the future of public health research!

UTHealth Houston School of Public Health student Deep Shah recently presented at the Texas Public Health Association Conference on “Proteomic Signature of Depression in Texas Youth,” exploring biological markers associated with depression among adolescents in South Texas communities.

Using data from the Border Health Research Center and Cameron County Hispanic Cohort, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of youth mental health and the importance of regionally representative public health research.

We are proud to see our students sharing impactful research that advances health across Texas and beyond.

Let’s wish Mr. Shah a lot of success in the comments!
