TAMUCC at RELLIS Accounting Professor Dr. Murphy Smith presented his research at this year's Council for Academic Technology and Innovative Education (CATIE) Chancellor's Conference on Academic Technology. The research is entitled "An Interactive Classroom Introduction to Use of AI in Corporate Finance and Governance." The presentation provided background on AI and its connection to the financial performance of firms rated highly for AI use. It was coauthored with RELLIS colleagues: Dr. John De Leon, Dr. John Gamble, and Dr. Katherine Taken Smith. Dr. Smith’s research on artificial intelligence goes back to the 1990s.
