Seasoning, Spice, and Everything Nice! That's what Mr. and Mrs. Frey bring to campus life! 🌶️

Jena (BA '03) runs our Student and Campus Life programs and serves as Director of Residence Life. An endless source of creative energy and community-building, she's always one step ahead — planning campus activities, excursions, and adventures, and making sure her team is set up for success. Jena always knocks it out of the park... and then some!

And Mr. Frey — what a guy! As Campus Facilities Manager, he keeps this place running. He responds to maintenance requests in person, always with a smile and a solution, doing specialized work behind the scenes that most of us never even see. He's also our campus Grill Master, bringing serious flavor and fun to BBQ Club! 🔥

We are deeply grateful for each and every little thing — seen and behind the scenes — that the Freys do for the Bryn Athyn College of the New Church community. They do it because they love this place.

Thank you, Rob Kees ('84) and Harris Campbell (ANCSS '74)!

We're grateful to shine a spotlight on Rob Kees, BACNC alum and owner of RNK Electric LLC. Since establishing the business in 1994, Rob has built a company that's been family owned and operated for 30 years, living out their motto: "Electrical Work Done Right."

Even with a busy schedule serving clients across the Tri-State area, Rob consistently makes time to take care of Bryn Athyn College of the New Church and The Academy of the New Church Secondary Schools. Today, they brought the bucket truck to hang new banners on our campus lampposts.

We're grateful for the reliable work Rob, Harris, and the RNK Electric team bring to our campus, job after job. Thank you, Kees crew!

Some of our favorite moments happen when generations learn side by side. This past weekend, a father and son sat down together for Professor Neil Simonetti's Introduction to Python Programming workshop — the very first offering in our new Lifelong Learning program! It made for a great first run, and the interest it's already drummed up has us excited for what's next. This is just the beginning: more sessions from BACNC faculty and alumni are coming soon. Welcome Day is almost here! 🎉

Small has its perks — we can invite our whole campus community to one big Welcome Day celebration. On Tuesday, August 25, our students, faculty, and staff kick off the new academic year together with a Campus BBQ, dessert and the President's Welcome at Glencairn Museum, and s'mores by the fire pit. ☀️🔥

That's the kind of close-knit community we get to be part of at Bryn Athyn.

Scoops of joy at the Swedenborg Library! 🍨

Our Second Annual Summer Social was a sweet success! Library Director Andi Sibley whipped up a batch of homemade ice cream and vegan mango sorbet (yes, really — homemade!), and our wonderfully welcoming library staff pulled together another cozy, delicious gathering for the Bryn Athyn College community.

If you haven't discovered the Library Cafe yet, consider this your official invitation. It's one of campus's best-kept secrets, a warm little home-away-from-home where students, faculty, and friends gather to chat, study, and enjoy a scoop or two together.
