Sneak peak! “Edge of Abstraction” opens Thurs. 10/29, 5PM! Featuring Kyle Butler, Oreen Cohen, Pam Glick, and Jacob Kassay.

Edge of Abstraction, is curated by Professor Joan Linder, and features work by 4 Department of Art Alumni whose work taunts distinctions between abstract and referential art.

Art Professor Noah Breuer’s solo exhibition “Patrimony” ends with a reception and artist talk, Sun. 10/25 at the Jewish Museum of Buffalo.

The Jewish Museum of Buffalo welcomes contemporary artist Noah Breuer for a special artist talk exploring his creative practice, artistic research, and the intersections of art, history, cultural memory, and Jewish identity.

Breuer’s vibrant, pattern-rich works draw inspiration from historical textiles, family archives, and the visual language of printmaking. Through his work, he reimagines fragments of the past, transforming personal and collective histories into contemporary works of art.

Guests are invited to meet the artist, learn about his process, and participate in a Q&A following the presentation.

Alex Center is a designer, podcaster and founder of the award winning design & branding studio CENTER. From 2006-2017, he worked for The Coca-Cola Company, helping build the brands vitaminwater, POWERADE and smartwater. Today, he and the team at CENTER are building the next generation of icon brands partnering with companies like United Sodas of America, Apple, BERO Ayoh! New Balance, SIMULATE and SWIMCLUB.

This lunch is part of the itinerary for Alex Center as a Visiting Artist on Mon. 11/16. All are welcome to his presentation for the Visiting Artist Speaker Series, that night, at 6:30PM in the Screening Room, Center for the Arts | UBuffalo 112.
