Students from the Liberty Partnerships Program in Salamanca have been spreading gratitude for Teacher Appreciation Week.

Students are expressing their appreciation by selecting random notes and giving them to Teachers or Staff Members who have made a positive impact on their lives. A small gesture can make an extraordinary difference. Thank you to our incredible educators for all that you do!

Dunkirk LPP students had a great opportunity attending a Building and Construction Career Trade Fair and learning about career pathways in the skilled trades. A special thank you to IBEW Local 106 for sharing valuable information about training, careers, and opportunities in the trade industry.

Students also enjoyed a tour of the MTI building at Jamestown Community College, gaining additional insight into hands-on training programs and future career possibilities!

Twenty-two Jamestown LPP high school students and family members recently attended a live performance of Biloxi Blues at Jamestown Community College. This opportunity offered students both entertainment and education, helping them explore historical context while reflecting on the challenges of adolescence and transitioning into adulthood.

We extend our gratitude to Mark Sasse, directors, performers, Honest John's Pizzeria, and everyone involved for providing this wonderful experience for our students and their families. 😊

Sixty middle school students from three local school districts gathered on March 19th to participate in the annual β€œLeadership Day" event hosted by the SUNY JCC Liberty Partnerships Program, an initiative focused on supporting student success and college readiness.

The event provided middle school students with an opportunity to engage in team-building activities, connect with peers, and compete in leadership-focused challenges, all aimed at developing critical skills for long-term success. It featured a full day of workshops and interactive sessions focused on leadership, problem-solving, effective communication, and team-building exercises.

In addition to these activities, students rotated among stations, such as a community service activity of creating cards for a local nursing home and a tour of JCC's Art Exhibit, facilitated by Colin Shaffer.

Thank you to everyone who helped create this experience for our students! Also, a special shoutout to the JCC college student athletes for volunteering their time as our designated "team captains"! πŸ™‚
