Cumberland County 4-H youth ages 9–18 are invited to register for the 4-H Poultry BBQ Class & Contest on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. CST at the Cumberland County Extension Office.

Participants will learn grilling skills from Dr. Jacobs, UK Poultry Specialist, and put their BBQ skills to the test. There is no cost to participate, but space is limited to the first 20 youth.

To register, call the Cumberland County Extension Office at (270) 433-7700. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cumberland County 4-H Animal Science Club Gives Back

The members of the Cumberland County 4-H Animal Science Club would like to thank all of the volunteers who serve at Feed my Sheep Food Pantry.

As a gesture of appreciation, club members voted to donate 5% of the proceeds from their most recent country ham auction to support the pantry’s work in our community.

We are proud of these 4-H members for not only working hard on their projects, but also recognizing the importance of giving back to those who give so much to Cumberland County.

4-H Camper and Parent Orientation is scheduled for this evening at 5:00 PM at the Extension Office. There is also still space available for those that want to go.

Members of the Cumberland County 4-H Cool Panthers 4-H Club recently visited Sh**un for a special outing.

As part of their commitment to giving back, club members used a portion of the proceeds from their fundraiser to purchase lunch for their teachers. We are proud of these young leaders for showing appreciation, generosity, and community spirit! 🍀
