Sigma Phi Society - Alpha of Vermont

Sigma Phi Society - Alpha of Vermont Founded in 1827, Sigma Phi Society has been on campus since 1845. The Society is well known for its strong tradition of high achievement.

Sigma Phi Society was founded on March 4th, 1827 at Union College in Schenectady, New York. It is the second oldest Greek fraternal organization in the United States, and the oldest in continuous existence. Sigma Phi Society became the first National Greek Organization when it expanded in 1831 to Hamilton College in Clinton, NY.
