California University of PA Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society Come check out what we are doing! Activities are always going on and everyone is welcome!!

Thursdays, 11:00 AM in Frich Hall Room 300 at California University of Pennsylvania We are a nationally acknowledged student chapter of The Wildlife Society. The Wildlife Society is an international, non-profit organization that connects students, teachers, professionals and naturalists alike to conserve wildlife and their habitats. As a student chapter we partake in many events throughout the aca

demic year. The majority of these events are classified as service-learning projects. We attend the Annual Wildlife Society Conference each year, along with the Northeastern Regional Conclave every Spring. We typically fundraise via an Outdoor Bash/Game Dinner, selling t shirts, calendars, and hoodies. Our student chapter hosted the 2012 Northeast Conclave this past spring. We do a great deal of work in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Game Commission, and many other state/national organizations.

Hello everyone! Even though summer may be coming to an end, there is an amazing road of virtual activities and events to look forward to within this upcoming semester. Although returning to CAL for the second semester is unclear, we have already made a tentative date for our annual Outdoor Bash, which will hopefully be March 27, 2021 — so save that date! Previously purchased tickets for the 2020 Bash are still valid! For those unclear about what the Bash is about, it is a fundraiser to help the Wildlife Society gather funds so that members may continue to attend all sorts of events and educational trips. There is a large raffle that is done with some pretty awesome prizes and a great selection of meats to eat, such as deer, bear, hog, and much more. We hope you can attend! Due to University precautionary policy regarding the Coronavirus outbreak, we have to postpone the date of our annual Outdoor Game Bash. We are looking at a date later this Fall and will keep you updated with further information. We will be in contact with people who have bought tickets. The Foundation was established for the purpose of conserving the birds and mammals of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We are the only Foundation dedicated to all Pennsylvania birds and mammals and the ecosystems in which they live.
