Northeast Iowa Community College Agriculture student Claytin Wingert of Harmony, MN is interning this summer with the feed division of Farmers Winn out of Houston, MN and Ristau Family Farms, Preston, MN. Claytin is being mentored by Brady Ristau on their 250 Simmental cow calf herd. The Ristaus market 40 bred females and 20 breeding bulls annually. Brady is an NICC alumni as a well both Claytin’s parents Jim and Randi. Congratulations on great internships Claytin.

Congratulations to Northeast Iowa Community College agriculture student Mitchell Vagts of Ossian, IA! Mitchell is graduating with a double major in Dairy Science Technology and Animal Science Technology. He was actively involved in dairy judging. During his time at NICC, he completed an internship with Driven Embryo Services, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the dairy industry. After graduation, he is currently undecided but has an interest in pursuing a career in the dairy industry.

Bo is graduating with a triple major in Dairy Science Technology, Agriculture Business, and Animal Science Technology. During his time at NICC, Bo completed an internship with Bishop Farms, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the agriculture industry. After graduation, he plans to return to the family farm, Flying W Farms, where he will contribute to ongoing agricultural operations.

Congratulations to Northeast Iowa Community College agriculture student Aubree Topp of Botkins, OH! Aubree is graduating with an Associate in Agriculture Business Transfer degree. During her time at NICC, Aubree was highly engaged in campus and industry opportunities, including participation in PAS, dairy challenge, dairy judging, and serving as President of the Ag Club. She also represented NICC at the USDA Agricultural Outlook Forum in Washington, D.C.. She was also honored with the Agriculture Business Outstanding Student Award in recognition of her achievements and dedication. In addition, Aubree will be moving to California for the summer to complete an internship at Desert View Dairy. After graduation, Aubree plans to attend Iowa State University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science.
