Harvard China Care

Harvard China Care a student organization dedicated to improving the lives of orphaned children in China and supporting We hope to continue to this work for thousands more.

An independent, student-run organization of Harvard College, Harvard China Care brings together a team of dedicated undergraduates determined to help build brighter futures for abandoned, orphaned, and special-needs children in China. We are a recognized China Care Club under China Care Foundation, Inc, with whom we work closely. Throughout the year we fundraise to provide medical treatment for or

phans in China, as well as to fund the operational costs for children's homes in China, including a special care unit in The China Care Home at Beijing. Every summer our volunteers travel to China to live and work in orphanages. Here at home, we also hope to build a bond between adopted children and their birth country, as well as foster a sense of community among families, with our Dumplings and Mentoring programs. On campus, we hope to spread awareness about special-needs orphans and run fundraising drives for medical supplies, which are then sent to orphanages in China with help from our summer interns. Thanks to the dedication of volunteers and the contributions from families and corporate donors, our work has already had a life-altering impact for thousands of children throughout China. Whether you are a student, parent, or child, we'd love to see you join us!

A great cause! Please consider learning more and donating!

Waking up to discover that our Indiegogo campaign is halfway to its 3-day challenge goal of $7000. If in the next two days — with your help — we can raise $3500 for Touching Home in China: In Search of Missing Girlhoods, a donor will give us $3000 ... taking us to $10,000.

Your support — whatever you can give — would mean so much to our ability to push this project ahead. To our early givers — each of you who contributed so we could have such a GREAT start in our Indiegogo campaign, Maya and I — along with our friend in the Xiaxi Town market who waved her such a warm welcome — say "THANK YOU!"

Hope you will take a look at our short Indiegogo video — on this link. And if you are moved to contribute, we'd be grateful for your support.
